Wood Doors are used very commonly nowadays not only in housing but also in hotels, hospitals, office buildings and so on.when we are going to buy a door, how to buy a suitable door and what kind of filling core i can choose for it, This essay will let you know.

There are major 3 types for wood door, normal wood door, fire rated wood door, and sound proof door.

For normal wood doors, we can choose several types of filling core like, honeycomb, semi-solid wood, full solid wood, particle board, tubular particle board, MDF strips/composite wood keel.

1. Honeycomb core is a material used in doors that have become popular due to its relatively low price. It is made of pressed cardboard with many hexagonal-shaped cells, resembling a honeycomb in a section. This filler is environmentally friendly, inexpensive, lightweight and has a long service life, making it ideal for interior doors.

2. MDF Sticks For a door core that is even denser than particleboard, opt for medium-density fiberboard (MDF). Its glued wood fibers make it suitable for a broad selection of applications. They are resistant to mechanical damage and moisture and absorb noise.

3. Particleboard is made from ground wood chips bonded with adhesive. Particleboard door cores work for many applications. While it increases the weight of the doors, it also increases durability. And another type for Particle board is tubular board.Tubular, or hollow core particleboard is made using the extrusion press system resulting in an ideal combination of light weight and stability.

4. Solid wood core, just as the name, the filling core is solid wood, generally there will be 50% 80% 100% filling. But solid wood doors are not a solid slab of wood. They are pieced together from several smaller pieces of wood. It is preferred by many customers.
